Sales Representative

About the Position

Seeking a highly motivated individual with some manufacturing/metal cutting or machining experience to join our sales team. We are a small industrial distributor/manufacturer based out of Stark County, Ohio primarily servicing the manufacturing industry offering an array of materials and products to businesses worldwide.

The Sales Representative will develop new business with current and prospective clients throughout Ohio and surrounding states. Sufficient training will initially be provided on products, sales process and industry will be provided to help ensure success in this territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with new and existing customers and provides them with products and services that ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develops profitable and sustainable sales growth of all assigned accounts
  • Identifies new business opportunities, initiating communication with decision makers
  • Develops relationships with customers
  • Conducts reviews on accounts on regular basis to evaluate clients' needs to match with appropriate products and/or services
  • Conducts regular review of promotional activities to enhance and identify development potential
  • Prepares and reports market analysis, competitor analysis and market trends
  • Ensures that clients know how to use the products and services and provides assistance if necessary
  • Develops plans and implements strategies for all assigned accounts
  • Manages day-to-day client communications and relationships
  • Resolves customer concerns
  • Prepares sales proposals
  • Works with suppliers to expand opportunities for clients
  • Develops and attends trade shows as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of related experience preferred
  • Engineering and/or machining/metal cutting experience a big plus
  • Self-driven, motivated, results oriented personality with an enthusiasm for growth
  • Must possess the ability to identify sales opportunities and develop new accounts
  • Must possess the ability to meet sales goals for new and existing accounts
  • Must possess knowledge of the underlying technology and research regarding client accounts
  • Must possess effective time-management skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to take initiative
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Must possess the ability to travel as required
  • Must possess the knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products and/or services
  • Must possess the knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products and/or services
  • Must possess the knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Must possess basic knowledge of the language and terminologies used in this occupation

Location

Candidate must live in the Canton/Akron area, and will manage all territories as specified which may include international territories.
